HP Photosmart 7960 Review

Thanks to today's digital world, almost everyone has a digital camera handy at all times, which makes it a simple matter to catch anything that may happen at the spur of the moment. If you're someone who loves to take photos, you may notice something that everyone has in common: you don't print out many of the photos. If you'd like to get those pics off of your memory card and onto your walls, the best way to do so is to purchase a high quality photo printer, much like the HP Photosmart 7960.

What Is It

The Hewlett Packard company has been known for creating high quality printers and computers, but they're not well known in the photography industry as they don't manufacture any cameras. That's why so many people are always surprised to find that the company actually knows how to manufacture a printer that is ideal when it comes time to print, and their Photosmart line of printers is exactly what the photo enthusiast ordered.

The Good

There are a number of good things that any photo lover will enjoy about the HP Photosmart 7960 printer, starting, of course, with the print quality of the printer. The print quality is much higher than most other printers, allowing you to get a high quality photo straight out of your own printer. Also good is the fact that you can fairly easily find hp ink for this printer, mainly because it is so popular that the demand is there. There is a built-in LCD screen that allows you to view and edit any images on your card before you hit that print button, and the multiple media slots ensure that you'll be able to put almost any type of memory card into the printer so that you can print directly from the card.

The Bad

There isn't a lot to hate about this printer, honestly. The regular hp ink cartridges tend to be fairly expensive, but you can counteract that by finding hp ink cartridges like remanufactured cartridges. The worst thing about this printer is the price of the printer - it's a bit more expensive than most home printers, but if you want high quality photos the price is definitely worth it.

The Verdict

If you're serious about printing your photos, and you want to make sure that they are printed in a very high quality, the HP Photosmart 7960 is definitely something you should look into.
