Lexmark X2670 Review

Some people have need of very large printers that can do everything from print to scan and may even be able to cook you breakfast if you put the right cords in it (this is, of course, an exaggeration), but some need only smaller printers, and if that's what you're looking for than you may want to look very closely at the Lexmark X2670. This printer is perfectly sized to fit on your desk, even if you only have a very little room, and is very simple to use.

What It Is

Lexmark has been in the printing business for a very long time, and their X-series of printers has received very high marks all the way around. This printer that goes in the X-series of printers is one that is priced extremely low and that was designed to be an all around printer. That means that it's capable of printing not only documents but higher quality materials such as photographs as well. It is very small, coming in at a mere 10 pounds and yet it still has enough room to hold 100 sheets of paper.

The Good

One of the best things that you'll find about the Lexmark X2670 is the price of the printer. Priced much lower than most of the other printers that are in the same level, this printer is the perfect option for someone who is just getting into printing things at home or for a backup printer. With the low price it is the type of printer that is considered by many to be an "expendable" printer, meaning that you will not be very upset if it gets accidentally destroyed. The price of the printer ink for this printer is actually fairly decently priced, especially if you purchase remanufactured printer ink for the printer rather than purchase brand new cartridges. It has a fast output speed and prints fairly high quality. The scanner even works beautifully on this small printer.

The Bad

They say that you get what you pay for, and with this printer that's certainly true. While the printer works beautifully for most things, it isn't able to print photos in as high a quality as you may want it to, and more than one owner has gotten upset at prints that they have printed through the printer.

The Verdict

Overall this is a great backup or inexpensive printer. If you're seeking a small printer that is affordable and yet fairly decently powered, the Lexmark X2670 and Lexmark ink cartridges are definitely viable options for your needs.
