Sony's Digital Frame Printer
Truly the next generation, Sony's S-Frame DPP-F700 takes sharing photos and printing with printer ink to a new level. It is a digital photo frame combined with a printer. It can print 4-inch by 6-inch photos in as little as 45 seconds. Now you will be able to display your favorite photos and print them out for family and friends at the same time.
Multi-tasking is what every device wants to be able to do. The more a machine can do (the "all-in-one" theory), the more practical and cost-effective it should be. The more applications performed in one location, the more space you can save, too.
The DPP-F700 offers a 7-inch LCD screen display that provides 800 by 480 resolution. The professional quality photos printed are 300 by 300 dpi. This Sony invention will also let you edit your pictures before you print them. You can enlarge your photos, crop them, add a date, add a border, and adjust the brightness, as well as the contrast and sharpness. How do you print your photos out? How do you know you'll get the right picture to print? This device uses Screen Capture so that when you see the photo displayed that you want a print of, you simply select it to print.
Sony's new Digital Frame Printer also has a Creative Print mode that will help you make your own photo calendar. Thirty templates are provided to help you customize the perfect calendar for next year's dates and events. Photo calendars also make terrific gifts for family and friends. You will also be able to print an ID photo or make a layout sheet with multiple images on it.
Included in this combination package are 1 GB of available internal storage and a re-sizing adjustment that will let you manipulate your photos into smaller versions so that you can save as many as 2,000 photos in storage. Image file formats that are supported include the ever-popular JPEG, TIFF, and BMP files. Also included are an operations manual and CD-ROM, a paper tray, an AC adaptor, a stand, and a cleaning kit.
A USB connection or a wide variety of flash-memory cards can be used to transfer your pictures to the digital frame and printer. The device can automatically tell if your photos need to be rotated for a vertical or horizontal fit.
This new Sony product is scheduled to arrive in January. It is sleek and stylish with a look you will be proud to use to display your favorite photos. Contained within that device is the ability to select and print the photos of your choice. See a favorite photo scrolling by and want to give a printed copy to Grandma who happens to be visiting? Select the button to print your desired photo, hand it to Grandma, and she will be amazed and tickled pink at receiving a new picture.
The Sony S-Frame DPP-S700 is another in the remarkable line-up of products that enhance our daily lives with technology and convenience that make us smile.
