Works fine, just always have a spare on hand The cartridge works fine, and is excellent value for the money. The only problem, and it's a known one, is that HP is a bit (a lot?) persnickety (they won't let me use the Freudian term here) about not using their $40 cartridges, and uses patents which are probably not valid to keep their software from being able to "see" the ink levels on unofficial cartridges. And you can't tell the ink running out from the cartridge needs cleaning without doing the cleaning first, unless you manually count the pages being printed. So sometimes, a print is delayed by several minutes. But as long as you know the possibility, and account for it, it's fine. The folks at HP tell me there's no problem swapping out partially empty cartridges, so if you really need to make sure the print job gets done in time, you can swap in a fresh cartridge and then put it aside until needed again.
